HOW TO GENUINELY QUIT TOBACCO , CIGARETTES , GUTKAS & BIRIS.

Tobacco use , be it in form of cigarette , cigar ,pipe ,khaini , biri ,gutkas etc cause damages to almost each and every part of our body . It can be a cause of stroke , gum infection , tooth decay , heart diseases , lung cancer,neck and throat cancer and asthma , blood cancer , oral cancer . From stomach to kidney to bladder to cervix , it effects all the vital organs of our body . It has 50 chemicals that can cause cancer in humans . Tobacco contains nicotine which affects our brain . The brain gets addictive to this nicotine , due to which we are unable to quit it easily . We have to take a doctor's help in order to quit it . WHO (world health organisation ) estimates that 6million (60 lakh) people die each year due to tobacco abuse of which 6 lakhs are passive smokers !!
Now I'll tell you a method through which I left tobacco . It's genuine because I left it in this way .
STEP 1 - VISIT A good GOVT./PRIVATE MEDICAL DENTAL COLLEGE
Maulana Azad Institute of Dental Sciences , New Delhi
There you will see all sort of patients come with their problem from tooth decay , tooth cavity etc. to major problem like cancer etc. Seeing this , you will value your life more than that RS 10 cigarette or khaini . Also take a round of that institute . On the walls you will see many cancer related pics , which will give you more reasons to quit tobacco and hate it . If you do this whole step , pat yourself , you've completed 30 % of the job .
STEP 2 - MEET THE DOC
Get a OPD slip and get your tooth checked . Because generally smokers tobacco & GUTKA chewers have tooth related issues. If you do not have any issue , simply approach the Faculty incharge( senior Doctor DOC) of that cheak up room and tell him that you want to quit tobacco/cigarette . Most probably he would tell you to do a blood test . Have it done . Then he may prescribe you a medicine like this ( image below ) . Similar product in USA is Nicorette (if I got the spelling right ...lol )
So now many will think .. Ahh !! So this is the catch !! Natural solution wants to sell this stuff via affiliate links 😂.
No absolutely not . I have just given an example . I will not give any affiliate link regarding any nicotine related chewing gums .
If he doesn't prescribe , ask him weather you can use any artificial nicotine chewing gum for quitting tobacco ? If he says yes , another 5% of your job is done !!
STEP 3 - GOT TO THE CHEMIST
Now , after the doc prescribes you with any nicotine chewing gum , throw any gutkas , khaini , cigarette etc you have in your pocket . You are not to use them ever again in the future and buy nicotine related gum from the chemist . If you are a heavy smoker / khaini chewer , the doc will prescribe you 4mg tablet. If a light smoker /khaini chewer (less than 15 cigg smoking / khaini chewing), he will prescribe a 2 mg tablet . Follow the instructions and take the medicine. The quitting process will be somewhat like this via the use of these tablets
STEP 4 - THE CRUCIAL 5 DAYS
Now comes the main part . This step will account for 40 % of the job. As I've mentioned , nicotine is a very addictive chemical . This addiction is equal to the addiction of drugs like heroine , cocaine etc. As our brain has been addicted , it wants nicotine at freequent times mainly when you wake up , before going to pop , during work , when you are stressed/tensed, after meals etc . You , inspite of having the tablets , can have a urge to smoke/chew tobacco but just DONT SMOKE !! And trust me , if you restrain for these 5 days , I bet you'll most definately be able to win this battle . Also try to stay away from your friends who smoke or drink for a few days.
STEP 5 NEARING SUCCESS
Just follow the procedure of taking the tablets. When ever you have the urge to smoke/chew tobacco or gutkas , chew a tablet . 15 % of the final objective will be achieved and Congrats !! You are tobacco free and you are 30 % less likely to get cancer plus you are no more a threat to your family , friends , countrymen (passive smokers)

PERSONAL ADVICE ON USE OF THIS MEDICINE
I've mentioned that I have quit tobacco by this method . When you start the medication i.e. taking these tablet , do not chew one whole at a time . Instead , break it into half , chew half and keep the half back in the sachet.
Also another thing , first suck the tablet . It'll be like orbit chewing gum but little broader/bigger in size . Then spit the white juice out (it'll come out when you suck the tablet).Do it 3 -4 times , after that you can chew it or put between you gums & teeth . Those coating are made of artificial sweeteners, colours which may cause more side effects . I used to do like this only .
Follow the instructions of tablet use , written behind the box or as instructed by your doc .
Keep visiting your doc regularly and do time to time cheak up .
Once you completely quit tobacoo , you may feel an urge to chew something . In that case you can chew ordinary chewing gum for further 1 month before you quit it . Or best chew cardamom , cloves , cinnamon etc . They are best as they are natural . Do not chew betel nut as it may cause OSMF (Oral submucus fibrosis ), a condition in which the mouth doesn't open fully . Excess use of red chillies may also cause OSMF syndrome.
FOR GUTKA CHEWERS
If you are having OSMF problems, get an immediate cheak up because it's a pre cancerous stage i.e. You may get cancer today or after 5 years . Stop chewing gutkas from today.
SIDE EFFECTS
The side effects of using tablets /quitting tobacco
- Stomach upset
- Nausea
- Loose motions
- Hallucinations
- Sleeplessness
- Irritation
- Headache
- Sickness etc
Do not start taking medicines on your own . Take it only when your doc prescribes it for you . And if you are taking any other meditations for diabetes , hypertension , high BP or any other disease , tell the doc about these .
CONCLUSION
I have given my personal experience in the above blog how I quit tobacco . Hope it's immense use to you . Once you muster the courage and go the medical dental govt/Pvt institute and meet the doc , you will definately be able to do it because it's the main initial part of the whole process.
