Commercial rose water contains preservatives, which are harmful for the skin . Also they may contain METHYL PARABEN & PROPYLENE GLYCOL .
Methyl paraben has been shown in cell cultures and cancer models in the lab to exhibit estrogenic effects and consequently has been labeled as an endocrine disrupter. This class of endocrine disrupters have been found to act in tumor proliferation (causing tumors to grow more rapidly once they are started), but not as tumor initiators. As such, they do not cause cancer, but rather, appear to aid the growth of tumors once cancer has already started.
